MythDora 10.21

MythDora 10.21 has arrived. That's right we've jumped ahead a few versions to catch us up with our Fedora baseline. The intent is that going forward we'll release versions in-line with current Fedora versions.

There are some major changes for us in this release. We've moved away from the Xdialog installer and into a single firefox configuration for the initial system setup. This same setup can be called via the MythDora Tools menu for a variety of features and for further maintenance as you use your system.

You will also notice we now offer I386 and X86_64 versions with LIVECDs of each.

If you are using the full installation media and have access to the internet you should enable the mythdora-updates repo in the anaconda installer. This will pull in the latest mythdora rpm and some fixes made since the release like the MCEUSB Remote, PVR-350 TV-out, Samba config etc. If you use the livecd or forgot to upgrade while installing you should run "yum upgrade mythdora" at xterm after you install to disk.

Please note: LIVECD default rootpw is: mythtv

Auto installs are NOT recommended. Please do a custom install unless you know what you are doing.

NVidia graphics users may have issues with anaconda not coming up in Graphics mode. To remedy this hit TAB to edit the boot line from the DVD menu and append xdriver=vesa to make anaconda happy.

Please read the release notes below for the highlights in this release.
