Updating to 0.24.1-3
Submitted by pisani on November 1, 2011 - 12:36pm
MythTV 0.24.1-3 and a newer mythtv-themes is available in the mythdora-testing repo.
If you choose to upgrade perform the following:
yum clean all
yum --enablerepo=mythdora-testing install mythtv m2vrequantiser mythtv-themes
(m2vrequantiser required for mytharchive)
You should see the 0.24.1-3 rpms in the download items if the mirrors are populated.
Type "Y" to continue with installation.

hmmmm
Just checked back to the site...last here when there was posting of demise of Mythdora which I've used for 4 years. I've since checked out mythbuntu, but would sooner stay with what I know in Mythdora. Does this update mean I could safely make a new installation with my new Hauppauge DCR 2650? Please say yep. Just today I upgraded my Myth box and am ready to make a clean installation. Should I stay or should I go? :) I wanna stay.
Unrelated: Yesterday I unlocked a Phenom dual core to a four-core on my main computer, very groovy.

Seeing that it has been almost two weeks, have you tried the DCR-2650 with MythDora?
yes
Just got it going last night 11/18. Followed the Silicon Dust installation instructions...took a couple of swipes at it but finally sunk into my head. note: the dcr-2650 is essentially a downsized HDhomerun prime. Activation went ok, but was not complete, be sure to ask for a "lukewarm hit" that's a real term, or even a "cold hit" to reset the cable card. I struggled with very few channels and partial locks on channels until the "hits" were done. The picture is very good, the system is easy to navigate. I'm looking forward to getting the final configurations done and let the thing churn away.
Note: I would really like to kick some cash toward Mythdora... to Ryan Pisani et.al. I can part with $20 easy. If the link is still here would someone point me toward it please.
to all concerned
Hey everybody!! Take a look at the price drop for the Silicon Dust HDHomeRun Prime, go get it. Selling fast. As a fall back the Hauppauge dcr-2650 will do the job too, that's the one I picked...has 2 tuners instead of the Prime's 3.

Thank You
Just a quick thanks to Ryan (and anyone else behind the scenes) for doing the compile.
Cheers

Not too much work to be done,
Not too much work to be done, Just used the rpmfusion src package that popped into the testing repo. The 12.x devel environment is still live so it's pretty easy. I'll keep 12.x alive as long as possible while still trying to figure out the next step.
