How to Manually Run MythDora Machine Setup

After the initial install of 12.23 I setup the machine configuration successfully but skipped the remote setup since I didn't have one at the time. I am now trying to Rerun Machine Setup from the MythDora Tools panel to add the remote and I get no response from the panel. MythTV Setup continues to work but nothing else on that panel (NFS Setup, Samba Setup, etc) provides any response, as though there is no backing script.

I see others have had this issue, but I didn't see an answer. A little sleuth work on the system seems to point to /usr/share/mythdora/mdconfigroot/mdconfig/initmdconfig.sh and indeed that displays the "Initializing MythDora Setup" panel, but the browser never starts. Further diagnosis reveals that the procedure works fine if done on display :0 (keyboard/mouse/monitor physically connected to the machine); I was trying to do it via VNC.

I've confirmed on another machine that this works fine via VNC on 10.21. Did something change in 12.23 to prevent bringiRerun Machine Setup from bringing up a browser via VNC?

Any thoughts? I have a workaround but didn't know if this is something that needs to be fixed in future drivers or not.

I'm looking for the same thing. Used to be contained in Mythdora tools in the menus (I just erased my mythdora 10.21 machine and reinstalled 12...)

I am having issues getting X to run on my PVR-350 output like I had it before. The backend works and I can record but I can't get it on my screen. I'd like to disable the choice in the web setup until I find an answer. Right now my screen and tv are blank so I need to use 'ssh -X' to use anything.

Solved for me...the first time I ran the install a script failed and stuff just wasn't finished (i.e. the 'mythdora tools' menu wasn't there that contains the links to the setup scripts I was wanting to rerun). I reinstalled and it's okay now.
