KDE crashes

There are still a couple issues with KDE. The /home/mythtv folder did not have write access by the mythtv user and the login manager would not allow mythtv to login. When you ran the the mythdora

When you ran the the mythdora configuration, did you check the box to enable KDE over gnome? If you didn't, then GDM is trying to launch gnome by default. You need to make sure /etc/sysconfig/desktop has the following in it:

DISPLAYMANAGER="KDM"
DESKTOP="KDE"

KDE window manager should work as expected.

I should probably smarten

I should probably smarten that up a bit, and make it so that in the event that KDE is installed, but gnome-desktop isn't, then automatically change the default. Maybe the checkbox will only appear when there is more than desktop installed.

You shouldn't have had to re-install. All you may have needed to do was make sure those entries were where I said they should be. Did you check for those?

Well. It looks like kde was probably not tested by any beta users. KDM is completely missing.

That is pretty much what I did to get it going. There are still a couple issues with KDE. The /home/mythtv folder did not have write access by the mythtv user and the login manager would not allow mythtv to login.
