MythDora 12.23 RC2 Released

MythDora 12.23 RC2 was released to beta testers today 4/12. There were a few issues that needed addressing and also a kernel update was needed. I hope to get this wrapped up and out by the weekend. We may actually release on RC2 mythtv build as 0.23 is being delayed. I'm quite confident in the svn /rc builds ae we've been beta testing them for 6 weeks or so now. I don't find it'll be an issue, and after the RC2 goes to release updates can be made available via the yum repositories.

More to follow....

Fedora Core to go 13 soon

Should you guys wait for FC 13 to land? It just went beta or RC reciently so MythTV and Fedora will be updating soon. Would it be smarter to go for Mythdora 13.23?

Uh Oh. I am going to have to catch up on my recording. One week of videos here I come.

Are we waiting at this point

Are we waiting at this point for MythTV to release 0.23? Is there some way I take the Mythdora RCs for spin to help out or is that what the beta program is all about?

Will try looking through the forum again when I'm actually awake, but I would be keen to help out here.

friday release?!

I'd like to vote for a friday, 4/16 release if possible. You can guess what I'd like to be doing friday night! :)

Well.. There are a couple of issues that popped up in our kernel. A new one has been moved to updates so this will push us out a week or so unfortunately. I'll keep you posted.

Post for early adopters?

Given that it's only a kernel update that needs to be fixed, could RC1 be posted out for EA access? That way when the release comes we could just upgrade the kernel package from the mythdora repo.

Also, does this mean you dont run stock fedora kernel?

We run stock fedora kernels.

We run stock fedora kernels. But there is a new one coming down the pipe in updates (actually today), just need the kernel module to show up in the next few days and I think we'll be set.

There are some more severe issues, otherwise we probably would have just released on the current base.
