It "Just Works" TM!
I had almost given up on the Technotrend and was considering another card or even a Dreambox or Humax box solution. However, my 10.21 install was messed up after a HDD crash, so I had to do a clean install anyway.
Checking on Mythdora to see if there was maybe a newer version I noticed the post about the 0.22 upgrade.
So
1) clean install,
2) not even bother to configure channels,
3) quit to desktop, open terminal window, su
4) yum remove mythstream (saw some nasty remarks amd thought it could not harm anyway,
5) Do the yum update magic as described in Mythdora opening screen.

Did that, and I do not know if it is the 0.22 or the kernel update, but after reboot and entering mythsetup, the DVB-C card is detected and scans everything (Using a channels.conf for Hollland-Ziggo I uploaded via webmin) I am quite happy to share this channels.conf if anybody wants it.

Now all I have to do i sget the USB cardreader to decrypt the Digital channels I pay for, and all is well.

Oops! scan now works but see ticket 3640 in mythtv..

Scan works, 2 or 3 channels work, but it seems the mythtv code does not compute with the Dutch Cable companies.
Ziggo does some nasty things to the dvb-c data streams and channel settings, so a patch is needed it seems.

See http://svn.mythtv.org/trac/ticket/3640 for details.
I am now in the proces of getting MythTV SVN trunk to run, see if patch still is needed.
It SHOULD be possible to run DVB-C on my myth box.
After all I have the hardware (both DVB-C card and CI-cam decrypter) and a paid for subscription, so why would it NOT work.

Will report back, but we are slowly getting there it seems.
In july not one distro (and i tried them all, suse, fedora, ubuntu, the works) would even load the correct drivers or scan at all. Now we have a visual and 98% of the time a partial lock (iso a full LOCK). At this rate of progress it is bound to work in july 2010.
