PLAY MUSIC Freezes

Further, when attempting to back out of the music play to go to the main menu, the frontend just seems to lock up. I used KnoppMyth before switching to MythDora, yesterday. The CD playing function worked great in KnoppMyth. I did just as you describe. Right after hitting option 3, you then should see the disk title pop up right under All My Music. Then down arrow and hit the spacebar then left arrow and then you should see the playlist. Hitting Esc then starts playing automatically in order. It\'s never failed for me. I would start to suspect your CD drive if this doesn\'t work. You may won\'t to try an see if choosing to Monitor you CD/DVD will help. When attempting to go to MEDIA LIBRARY > LISTEN TO MUSIC (using option '3' to change play list), MythDora doesn't seem to detect the CD I have in the drive (I've tried several different CD's to rule out the media). Do a "cat /etc/mythdora" to see what version your running. It should be at least version 2.1.

I've put in multiple CD's

I've put in multiple CD's and it detects every one. I did just as you describe. Right after hitting option 3, you then should see the disk title pop up right under All My Music. Then down arrow and hit the spacebar then left arrow and then you should see the playlist. Hitting Esc then starts playing automatically in order. It's never failed for me. I would start to suspect your CD drive if this doesn't work. You may won't to try an see if choosing to Monitor you CD/DVD will help. Thats in the General section of the frontend setup.

I'll give it a shot. I *almost* suspected the CD drive, but then it occured to me... I just installed MythDora using this drive, so it has to work... doesn't it??? ;)
