Manually starting the install process
Hi Folks!
Attempting to install the MythDora Frontend on a pair of Lenovo (IBM) NetVista - one comes up as a 6648 and the other a 6649. Neither system seems to recognize the installation CD. The MythDora 4 CD worked on other computers; tried 5.0, still not recognized.
One of the computers has Ubuntu on it; won't recognize the built-in CD but does see the USB CD. OK, I'll install it this way - I don't care! How does one manually start the installation process? I can see the files -- tried 'exec /media/cdrom1/(something)ks.cfg' -- contents looked like it was the kickstart file but no luck -- either 'exec' is the wrong command for the action, the *.ks.cfg was the wrong type of file for exec -- I'm, also just learning Linux.
The NetVistas are Intel chipped, so that's not the problem.
TIA!
