Joystick support in MythGame

Hey all,
I have gotten quite a lots of mileage out of MythGame but there is only so much I can do with a keyboard. Anyone have any recommendations as to what type of joystick is supported in MythDora. I went today to check out some joysticks at Best Buy but they look like something I would use to command a space shuttle mission. I was hoping for something simpler... like the PS2 joysticks or along those lines.
Any help is appreciated.

I havent used mythgame so I can only provide places to look for more info. Most joysticks work in linux (even usb ones) as the interface for them has been standard for a great number of years. I agreee that new joysticks look a little out landish. If you check out Augusts issue of Linux Journal there are a lot of great resources for arcade style buttons and joysticks. Also has a lot of info regarding mame.
